Hopi Drum

(#FCDRUM345)

This old Hopi drum must have been used in hundreds of ceremonials because it shows considerable age and wear.
Made of cottonwood and covered with thick rawhide, likely from a Spanish longhorn cow, it stands 19 inches high.
There are two drum beaters with it. The carved, wooden stick produces a sharp, high-pitched note, while the padded
one makes a deep, resonant sound.
