ERIC SLOANE "Pennsylvania Stone
Cabin"
Eric Sloane's original pen and ink drawing of a Pennsylvania stone cabin exemplifies his love and understanding of American tradition. When people toiled to hand make everything they needed from what was available on the land. Eric Sloane was an expert on barns and covered bridges and studied them for most of his 85 years. Many of his 50 or so books are illustrated with his paintings drawings of covered bridges but the original illustrations are very rare today. See Forrest Fenn's "Seventeen Dollars a Square Inch, a personal tribute to Eric Sloane" in the book section of this web site.JJCOJJ* |
