Zuni Pueblo Pot

  • 1825-1850
  • Height 10 inches
  • #FCHP225

The Zunis were the first Pueblos visited by the Spanish. Originally consisting of several villages, Zuni is now a single town.

Zuni pottery, like that made at Acoma and Laguna, is tempered with crushed potsherds.

These old potsherds, sometimes ancient, often serve as inspiration for the potters’ designs.
